Shilah and Bryan… where to even start with this couple!?
Shilah first messaged me through Facebook about photographing her wedding last year. I was surprised at the location of the wedding, because it being so close to my little home town – so I asked her if she had heard of Newcomerstown. Turns out she is from there too! Her mom actually knows my grandparents and some of their friends, so small world I guess! We met up a few days later for a consultation and that was it!
I had been looking forward to Shilah and Bryan’s wedding since the moment I met them. They are two of the sweetest, thoughtful, true salt of the Earth people that I will probably ever have the pleasure of knowing. They are truly good people, and so much fun to be around too. I knew it was going to be a super fun day.
One of my favorite moments from the day was at the end of the ceremony, the pastor was saying some closing remarks and well wishes.. Both Bryan AND Shilah jumped the gun and leaned in for “THE KISS” without being prompted. The pastor threw his hands up to stop them and turned it into a funny moment. Everyone in the church was cracking up. After a few more words, Bryan finally got to kiss his new bride and they were pronounced husband and wife.
Bryan and Shilah, thank you so much for choosing me. I am so happy for you both, and I’m so honored to have been your photographer for the day. Your wedding and reception was so much fun, and I hope that through life, you love looking back at the photos as much as we loved capturing them for you.
