From the moment I met Joelle and Kyle for their consultation meeting, I knew that this couple would be a dream to work with, and I was so excited at the possibility of working with them! I felt like the meeting had gone great, and that this was a couple I could really “click” with! They must have gotten that vibe too, because before I made it home from the meeting that day, they called me to confirm that they wanted to book, and I was thrilled!
On the day of their wedding, Zach and I started at the couple’s house in Marysville to photograph the bride’s preparations. This was the perfect location for Joelle and the bridesmaids to get ready – this girl should seriously consider a career in interior decorating – and come transform my house first! After getting ready at home, we all went to the ceremony venue, Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. After the ceremony, we took family portraits at the ceremony site, and then hopped on a Hummer Limo for a ride to Ohio Stadium. It was supposed to rain, so we made a quick detour to one of my favorite indoor locations, so we would have some dry shots just in case it started to rain before we got to the stadium.
I absolutely want to point out the pictures of the garter removal below. This was my favorite part of the whole day! I believe it was a cue from the DJ, for Kyle to crawl to Joelle before taking the garter off, and to growl while he did so. I wish that all of my grooms would do something like this. So much fun!
Joelle and Kyle, I can’t believe how fast your day went! It doesn’t seem that long ago that we were getting to know each other at the first meeting. I’m so happy you guys chose me to be your wedding photographer. Your day was awesome, and I’m glad that I can present you with the memories that you will pass down to your own family someday.
Everyone, enjoy some of my favorites below!
